Books

I'm an avid reader and passionate about the benefits of reading a good book.  On this page I'll share my latest book finds and old favourites that I go back to time and again.  Feel free to post any recommendations for myself or other readers...

On my Kindle right now:

The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand

I think I've read every single one of Elin's books - they're all  pretty much set on Nantucket Island and are the perfect summer read.  I turn to her books when I want to dream of beaches, picnics, glamourous bars and family get-togethers.  This latest offering is another dream, the story of twins who meet up after years of living apart and how they resolve their anger and issues from their teenage years, now that they are adults.  I read it in one sitting pretty much, as once you start, it's hard to stop.

My next choice is by Gaby Bernstein.  She has totally inspired me over the last few weeks as I've delved into her motivational speaking and now her books.  The first book I read was The Universe has your Back which was all about transforming fear in all its forms, in order to achieve happiness, security and direction.  I devoured this and came away with a great deal of food for thought.  I then embarked upon her book May cause Miracles which is a very practical book - a day at a time with a thought and an action to be completed, as well as reflection time at the end of each day.  I've resisted my usual urge to zoom through the book and I'm making myself do it a day at a time and give myself time to absorb and reflect as I go.
